Hello! I’m Dana! I’ve been obsessed with travel since I was little, and my beloved grandma also had a wanderlust that could not be quenched. She traveled the world, bringing me back collectable dolls from faraway places that were so exotic to me. When she took me to England when I was 14 and Holland when I was 19, all she did was encourage my own wanderlust. In 2019, I found my birth family, and they obsessively travel too. It’s reassuring to know that I came by this wanderlust gene honestly, and I am grateful to my grandma for fostering it in me.
As far as the mundane stuff, I have two degrees in microbiology, I’m a die-hard Michigan State Spartan, I was raised on Detroit Lions football, reading and cooking nourish my soul, and by trade I am a science writer and editor. I live on 20 forested acres in northern Michigan with my husband and our furry kids, currently a mixed-breed rescue dog and a yellow Lab who are 2 years old. We have 12 amazing nieces and nephews who we love to spend time and travel with.
